Administrative Provisions


Chipping service requestor (participant) agrees to abide by the requirements of  this program, which may change from time to time. Participants declare that he/she/they are the owner of the property or his/her/their agent. Participants grant the Resource Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mountains (RCDSMM), contractors, bidders and agents, permission to enter the property only for safety inspections, pile inspections, chipping services and monitoring. Participant acknowledges that the RCDSMM provides this service through contracts with chipping vendors. Participant agrees that submittal of this form is not a guarantee of  delivery of service, performance, or satisfaction. All activities are funding dependent. Participant agrees to comply with the chipping crew's decisions knowing safety is their foremost concern. Participant agrees not to load brush into the chipper. Participant agrees to waive and  release the RCDSMM and all its employees, Boards, contractors, volunteers, officers, and agents from all liability arising from participation in this program. Participant agrees to be added to the chipping email list. Participant understands and agrees that the RCDSMM has the right to refuse service to participants that do not comply with  these conditions, other specific parameters, or for unsuitable piles.


Participant  agrees not to amend (to add to) chipping piles after completion of this form. Participant agrees that piles that are amended after completion of this form will be held over into the next chipping period.

This program is administered by the Resource Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mountains. Funding is  provided by a grant from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation in partnership with the Conservation Biology Institute.
